California canvassing lists

Build California canvassing lists from voter segments.

A canvassing list should be specific enough for a route and clear enough for a volunteer. VoterFile helps campaigns turn voter-file filters into practical walk universes, packets, and mobile canvass workflows.

California voter-data upload, import, and activation are hard-stopped until the customer, source, viewers, agency acceptance, notice/security handoff, and security evidence are approved. Do not upload or email a voter file with this request.

The platform activation bundle is available, but each campaign still requires customer, source, viewer, permitted-use, and workspace approval before voter data can be uploaded or opened.

Target the right doors

Campaign teams can start from a district, county, party, age range, or official vote history, then narrow the list until it fits the actual canvassing plan. An activated model-enabled workspace may also use the specifically approved turnout or outreach signal.

California voter-data upload and processing are not activated yet. Before any file enters VoterFile, the issuing agency must accept the disclosed hosted workflow and viewer coverage, the required notice and security handoff must be complete, and the California security evidence checklist must be green. After that gate, California workspaces default to the campaign's authorized official fields, customer-directed lists and turf, and campaign-entered activity. Voter-level BISG, turnout-propensity, and other modeled fields require a separate documented privacy-law activation basis.

  • Campaign-defined persuasion universes
  • Official-history drop-off voter lists for turnout programs
  • NPP and local nonpartisan race segments
  • Bilingual outreach planning signals only when the model lane is enabled

Work the turf without rebuilding it elsewhere

VoterFile can keep the turf inside the app with saved universes, packet splits, mobile canvass mode, survey prompts, and offline queueing after the turf is opened once. CSV export still keeps the workflow portable when the campaign needs another tool.

Questions

Does VoterFile create walk packets?

Yes. Print-ready walk packets, bilingual canvassing scripts, packet assignment tracking, and mobile canvass mode are live.

Can I target by city or district?

The product is designed for California campaign geography, including county and district-oriented filtering. Exact geography depends on the loaded file and available district data.
