Two fulfillment paths, two pricing rules

BYO founding access is $299 per race for software and service around the customer's authorized voter file. The customer remains requester of record and pays any government fee directly through the official state or county process.

Data-included work is quote-first. VoterFile reviews the campaign, geography, authorization, issuing-office cost, delivery method, and first-file import scope before providing a written software-and-service quote. Any official-source cost is disclosed and capped in writing. Nothing is purchased and no official file is ordered until the customer approves that price.

What the BYO founding rate includes

The BYO rate covers a private campaign workspace, first-file import review, filtering, saved universes, voter CRM, turf and walk packets, canvass reporting, and campaign-ready exports around the customer's authorized file.

It does not include the underlying voter file, government fees, third-party append purchases, or unrelated outreach-service spend. California remains a conditional BYO state: the requester must independently qualify, and no file may be uploaded until VoterFile confirms the customer-specific California access and security activation gates are green.

How data-included quotes are set

Official file costs range from free public downloads to material statewide fees, and some issuing offices quote only after the geography is known. VoterFile therefore does not promise that one public software price absorbs every state or statewide scope.

The written quote reflects the campaign geography, issuing-office cost, authorization work, delivery format, file-layout validation, import effort, refresh cadence, and requested workflows. Any official-source acquisition cost is disclosed and capped in writing, and nothing is ordered until the customer approves the quote.

Who should request access

The beta is for campaigns, committees, candidates, consultants, and qualified political users with a permitted campaign, party, or election-related purpose. Every request is reviewed against the applicable state's requester, use, transfer, and hosted-processor rules.

VoterFile is strongest when the campaign needs voter segmentation, CRM, canvassing, consultant reporting, and portable outreach handoff—not a general fundraising, website, or supporter-management suite.

Do I need a credit card to request access?

No. The access request only collects enough information to verify the campaign, role, and race before follow-up.

Does $299 include a VoterFile-provided voter file?

No. The $299 founding rate is the BYO software-and-service price. VoterFile does not provide the voter file under that plan; the customer brings an authorized voter file and pays any government fee through the official request process.

How does data-included pricing work?

We first review eligibility, geography, authorization, official file cost, delivery, and import scope. You then receive a written software-and-service quote before purchase. Any official-source acquisition cost is disclosed and capped in writing and requires approval before ordering.

What is the refund policy?

The standard convenience-cancellation schedule refunds 100% before fulfillment starts, 75% after fulfillment starts but before data-ready activation, and 25% after data-ready activation but before material use when requested within 30 days. Material service failures, duplicate payments, unauthorized charges, payment-network rights, and nonwaivable remedies are handled separately.

Is there a firm or consultant plan?

Consultant workspaces are live. Early beta pricing still starts with per-contest access while broader firm reporting and billing controls keep expanding.

Who should actually join from the pricing page?
