How onboarding works
First you sign a short services agreement that keeps VoterFile as your data processor, with no sale, no pooling, and deletion on request. Then we obtain the approved official Michigan file and organize it in your workspace for lists, turf, and exports — no upload needed.
Nothing moves until the agreement is signed, and your file lives in a workspace no other customer can reach. When your race is over, or any time you ask, your file and the lists are deleted.

Can I use it for my Michigan local race?
Michigan delivers the computerized voter list to any person on request under MCL 168.522 at the cost of production, and the Rev 03/26 Qualified Voter File Data Request form carries no purpose oath, eligibility gate, or commercial-use restriction — just a signature and the geography you want. Confidential fields (driver's license or state ID number, month and day of birth, telephone, email, signature, and last four SSN) are stripped, so the file includes year of birth but no phone numbers.
